The University of Santa Cruz do Sul, through the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras - Mestrado e Doutorado dos cursos de Letras e de Comunicação Social (Master and Doctorate’s Courses) has the honor of inviting researchers, professors, undergraduate and graduate students to participate at the coordinated events that aim at discussing reading from an interdisciplinary perspective.
The events
THE COLLOQUIUM ON READING AND COGNITION had its first edition in 2003, when a group of professors from the University of Santa Cruz do Sul organized the event around the same research fields that inform the Masters Program in Reading and Cognition. The Colloquium has been promoted every two years since then, and 2021 brings its 10th edition along with the first Doctoral Dissertation Defense within the PhD Program approved by Capes in 2018.
THE IV INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON READING, LITERATURE AND MEDIA is promoted by GENALIM - Grupo de Estudos sobre Narrativas Literárias e Midiáticas, associated to PPGL/Unisc. Its first edition happened in 2015, with the aim of gathering research areas historically connected to literature, such as Communication, Philosophy and Education.
THE XXI SCHOOL OF LINGUISTICS AND LITERATURE WEEK celebrates its twenty-first edition, reassuring its commitment with the qualified training of professionals in Linguistics, Literature and Language Teaching. This year the meeting is offered as a pre-event, when undergraduate and graduate students come together to discuss new themes and debate the key speakers and panelists works.
THE 1st INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF RESEARCHERS IN INTERMEDIALITY is promoted by Grupo de Pesquisa Intermídia (Intermedia Research Group) (CNPq), coordinated by Thais Diniz, PhD (UFMG), and GT Intermidialidade: Literaturas, Artes e Mídias (Anpoll), in partnership with Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and with Universidade Federal de São João Del Rey. The event aims at gathering Intermedia Studies researchers invited from Brazil and other countries to share perspectives of research.
General goal
To contribute to the exchange of ideas and the articulation of researchers in the field of Language and Literature - and their interfaces, mapping paths opened in the last decades, as well as projecting new ones so the field continues contributing to the educational, scientific and artistic development.
